The HP Pavilion 20-f394 is a low end entry level desktop which goes for slightly under $500. It has a huge 20 inch screen which looks like those in IMacs desktops. This desktop is designed for those with tighter budgets and not so demanding computing requirements. So a few compromises have been done and it would be good to check out the features on it before deciding if it’s the right choice for you.

The 20 inch screen is a really good feature for this desktop. At 1600*900 resolution, the color and contrast is adequate. However, this screen is not touch capable. The desktop is fitted with the AMD E1-1200 processor which is not the fastest out there. The Ram is 2 GB which can be expanded to 4 GB. These features will tell you that it’s not exactly a fast desktop but rather one suited for lighter home and office uses. However, if you have some patience within you, you might push it to perform more. The desktop has a TruVision HD 720p webcam to support video calls and hangouts. There are plenty 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports and some audio jacks. Built in Wi-Fi via 802.11 n and Bluetooth radios, multi format SD slot, Ethernet port and lo-fi speakers are some other features on this desktop. There is one thing missing from this desktop which is a HDMI port which means you cannot connect game consoles and such which is a major setback.

This entry level desktop looks stylish and comes with keyboard and mouse both of which are connected through USB. There is a walmart model which comes with wireless mouse and keyboard for an additional $20. If you require connecting many components, this will come in handy as you’ll fee up some USB ports. There are a few apps which come pre-installed with this desktop. HP's MyRoom video chat software, Skype, Cyberlink's PowerDVD, PhotoDirector PowerDirector as well as a few other trail programs including Microsoft office, Norton interne security among others. You also get one year warranty for this product.

The HP Pavilion 20-f394 will be a good choice for users who require light uses. Light office work, Editing work, homework for school children a kitchen computer will be some place where the pavilion will perform well. The specs might be limiting to those who run more powerful programs. It’s an entry level desktop whose price justifies its specifications.
